Girls on a Mission Inc. celebrated their First Fundraising Gala in Egg Harbor City, NJ, February 2023. We appreciated the friends and family who were able to participate. Special thanks to DEW Ministries for showing up and showing out and blessing us with their gift of dance!
This year, we're celebrating in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Girls on a Mission Inc. launched its FIRST Girls on a Mission Jr. program; meeting the needs of their 4th grade elementary population before COVID-19 took us through a whirlwind. We've been able to continue in our efforts, providing programming during the summer for girls during COVID, in spite of the challenges as well as gained some time to reflect and revamp the programming as we proceed forward! We celebrate this years Fundraising Gala in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and we look to raise AT LEAST $20,000 for the upcoming identity projects, as we are seeking to collaborate with more of the surrounding schools.
GIRLS ON A MISSION INC. is always reaching towards brand new audiences to help gain support for the programming we provide our middle school girls as we step into a more multi-cultural curriculum. We are in transition as we're entering into a time where we are redefining our identity, "truthfully and authentically" as the beautiful, smart, uniquely creative living souls that seek to develop the artistic leaders for upcoming generations!
We hope you will be supportive in partnering with us through this unique adventure.

Fundraising Gala 2023:
The 2023 Alexendar Bridgers III STEM Scholarship Recipient has been chosen! She will be studying nursing in the Fall at North Carolina Central University! Congratulations Jade!
We were able to raise money for one scholarship winner, for one of our previous GOAM Inc. members in our first 2023 high school graduating class: Jade! Jade will be attending North Carolina Central University in the Fall of 2023 and majoring in Nursing. She was also one of the young ladies who had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica on our 1st Mother-Daughter Retreat! Here's what Jade had to say about her unique Girls On A Mission experience:
"True role models for young black woman are in short supply when it comes to the images portrayed by the media. According to the media success for young black women is always measured by wealth and/or beauty standards. Very little is set about character development and intelligence. My family has always been careful to lay a foundation for me, but through joining Girls on a Mission, it was amazing to be in a company of girls and women who have the same goals as I did. I did not meet women who measured or valued their lives by money or beauty. Instead these amazing women lived by the content of their character. These were truly world class black women. I have traveled states in my own country but never have had the opportunity to leave the United States until I joined Girls on a Mission. In my trip to Costa Rica, I got to see a small slice and a bigger world of all the possibilities it had to offer. I also learned what it meant to be an ambassador for an organization. However the greatest thing that I have learned was the true definition of successful black women in 2023."
Join us for an evening of dance, celebration and reflection! at our next Fundraising Gala!
We look forward to another most rewarding and memorable event!
